All our kittens are born and raised in the home as part of the family. All are well socialised and used to every day noises and the company of older cats. They are fully vaccinated, wormed, GCCF Registered, insured for four weeks with Pet Plan and come with goody bag and diet/care sheet. The Kittens will also be Micro Chipped. Kittens will be ready to leave us between 13-14 weeks of age.
We take a £50.00 (non-refundable) deposit to hold a kitten (no kitten will be reserved without a deposit). Deposits are taken in good faith and are non-refundable (unless in exceptional circumstances). We do accept payment via. Cheque or Bank Transfer. All cheques must be received a minimum of 10 days before collecting your new kitten. The final payment on collection of kitten to be paid in cash only!!
All pet kittens are registered on the Non-Active Register (this cat is not to be bred from).
ALL MALE KITTENS WILL BE NEUTERED BEFORE LEAVING US.
ALL FEMALE KITTENS WILL BE SPAYED BEFORE LEAVING US (UNLESS SOLD ON ACTIVE REGISTER FOR BREEDING).
All prospective new kitten owners will be asked to read and sign a Kitten Contract Agreement, which is a Legal binding Agreement.
Show/Breeding quality females (On the Active Register) available sometimes to knowledgeable breeders.
If you are interested in adopting a kitten from ‘Carrismoon’ then please phone or e-mail us with your intentions for the kitten i.e. pet/show/breed and a little about yourselves.
All kittens are sold with a contract, please do not enquire about a kitten if you are not prepared to sign whichever version of the contract has been agreed e.g. pet, breeding/show potential. Unfortunately although we do vet prospective owners thoroughly occasionally problems do arise and the contract helps to resolve these problems as they spell out both our postion and that of a prosepctive owner.
Homing kittens is the hardest part of breeding, all the time, effort and planning (sometimes several years) the happiness and sometimes heartache culminate in sending that precious little bundle out your door. Trusting complete strangers is often difficult (especially when trust has been misplaced before) so please understand the need for these contracts even if their only purpose is (for the vast majority of kittens) to reassure a concerned breeder that they have done everything possible to ensure a happy life for another bundle of fluff.
Breeding and showing cats is our hobby, however it is a very costly procedure and sales of kittens we do not wish to keep ourselves only goes partway towards paying for this hobby. It is in no way a business as a profit is neither intended, or indeed ever obtained! If you wish to see the breakdown of cost involved please ask, it is a sobering list for anyone thinking cat breeding is an easy money maker. In addition to the financial costs, the stress and time taken to find suitable homes, worries over labouring queens in the middle of the night and hand feeding a frail kitten every 2 hrs makes you wonder why we do it. Then have another look on the kitten page!
